π Narrative Strategy for Systems Change π
Much of the discussion around narrative, narrative change and narrative strategy centers on systems change.
Change is storytelling. A story is really about change. As a narrative strategist, I find I have the most fun in those spaces of change.
This great diagram from The Moment (https://lnkd.in/gU9pnjGq) by Daniel Rose, CPF illustrates how dominants systems fall while new systems rise. As a narrative strategist, I use storytelling and communication to narrate, navigate and help mobilize our communities as these disruptions occur. Having language and models to make sense of the change happening around give us direction. I think narrative strategy is most effective when old systems are crumbling, and we feel lost and unsure of whatβs next. By using storytelling to help us embrace the future, narrative strategy can make change irresistible.
